Making of a Light Switch with a Capacitive Proximity Sensor

Click here for the video. This is a light switch with a capacitive proximity sensor. I couldn’t find any comprehensive source on the internet on running capacitive proximity sensors near AC current sources, so I wrote mine. It is 101 pages long and has everything you need to know. Hope you find it useful. (The Read more about Making of a Light Switch with a Capacitive Proximity Sensor[…]

PCB Etcher

Making PCB at home takes time even though it might be your quickest way. The method I used requires the uncovered copper to be dissolved inside the hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide mixture. That takes long; once I waited about 6 hours. This thing I have designed on a night, which I call “etcher”, Read more about PCB Etcher[…]

1.5 Years Ago: My First PCB

This was the first PCB board I made, from about 1.5 years ago using Altium. It is a light sensitive light. Darker it gets, brighter it will be. Notice the wording, don’t let it confuse the LDR(light dependent resistor) too, so make LDR and LED face opposite sides if you don’t want to create an Read more about 1.5 Years Ago: My First PCB[…]

A NinjaFlex Print Using Smart Extruder +

Another @NinjeFlex3d print from MakerBot 5th Gen Replicator. When the original lid got torn, I just reverse engineered this simple part and 3D printed a new one. In the future, we will wonder how we were living without a 3D printer. I 3D designed it using @SolidWorks. I 3d printed it using @makerbot.

i3DBot Fix

This is my first 3D printer @i3dbot . First time I started using it, I was a newbie in slicer settings. There were no explanations of settings and no good slicer was existing by that time for RepRaps, in 2013. My first successful print was the propeller in the darkest color. This year, I wanted to sell Read more about i3DBot Fix[…]

SLA vs FDM Gears

Known fact: The smoother one is from @Formlabs Form 2 (SLA technology). It really is better in quality, but when I need big parts, or when I need a part quickly, @MakerBot (FDM technology) is a better solution. FDM use filaments, which are usually cheaper. They create infill structures to make the part cost less. SLA uses resins, which Read more about SLA vs FDM Gears[…]

More Vacuum

How about the edges and the weak vacuum of the vacuum cleaner? A 3D printed solution. I 3D designed it using @SolidWorks. I 3d printed it using @makerbot .

Button V2

My school uniforms are strange. Their buttons brake into pieces suddenly. Are my uniforms tight? No. So, I suspected the buttons, not my belly. I 3D printed buttons using @proto_pasta carbon fiber filament, and problem got solved. I actually 3D printed a lot of them, and gave some to the people in my club in school, MakerClub.
