UAA MakerClub is an after-school club established by Egemen in 2015 to teach fellow students the basic skills to be a fully functioning maker.
From 2015 to 2018, it was to teach 3D Printing, CAD design and Arduino to fellow students.
In SEV Science Fest 2017, the weather station project we worked on as an introduction project won the Most Applicable project award in Technology.
In 2016 & 2017, the MakerClub team won the first place in National 3D Printing Contest for high-schools organised by Darüşşafaka. In 2017, The team donated the 3D Printer won to a technical government school in need and provided training. (The Team comprised of Egemen Ertem, Ege Özgül, Kara Alptürer (and Ege Bora Oral in 2016))
From 2017, Ege Özgül joined the club as co-president. Joining forces with Ege’s knowledge in coding, we started advancing more in coding as well.
In 2018, MakerClub also started teaching introduction to programming of AVR microcontrollers and PCB design.
After Egemen and Ege’s graduation in 2019, MakerClub is currently run by people previously student to MakerClub.
