My dog and his long ears eat the food together sometimes, or sometimes we need to put a cone in his head for him not to bite himself, which makes him look like a walking satellite antenna. Becoming an antenna is hard for him because it interferes between the food and the food transceiver, his mouth. So, from an angled food container, he can eat easier.
